Dr. Walter Cassidy is the founder of Issaquah Vision. Dr. Walt received his undergraduate education at the University of Wyoming and Pacific University. He received his doctorate in Optometry from the Pacific University College of Optometry in 1982. Since 1983, he has been caring for the eyesight of residents of Issaquah and its surrounding communities.
Dr. Cassidy is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Optometric Physicians of Washington, having served a 3-year term on its Board of Trustees. He is past president of the King County Optometric Society. Dr. Walt is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Issaquah, for which he is a past president. He has served on the parish council of his church, and also has served on the board of Catholic Community Services of the Eastside, as well as the Washington SIDS Foundation.
For the past 20 years, Dr. Cassidy has been a volunteer optometric physician at Seattle’s Millionair Club eye clinic, which provides eye care to the homeless. Dr. Walt is a member of VOSH Northwest, an organization which facilitates free vision care to citizens of impoverished nations. Dr. Cassidy has been a team member of four medical missions to the country of El Salvador.
Dr. Cassidy resides in Issaquah with his wife, Lauren. They have three daughters.
